Buckwheat Blossom Farm is a horse-powered and highly diversified farm. Support our unique and highly sustainable form of agriculture by joining our Winter Pantry and Meat CSA. What We Offer: (Vegetables) . Our Winter Pantry CSA distributes cold hardy vegetables from the field, traditional storage crops (roots, onions, garlic, winter squash, etc.) from our root cellar plus, as a bonus, surplus frozen veggies (corn, green beans, kale, chard, tomatoes, etc..), canned goods and lacto-fermented veggies. The Winter Pantry starts mid-November with every other week pickups at the farm for 20 weeks until mid-March. While at the farm you can purchase our meats by the cut, eggs, lambskins, yarn and salsa and Swallowtail Farm dairy products. Recipes will be available on our blog, which will also keep you updated on the farm happenings. (Meat) Whole chicken and lamb, and half or whole pork and beef, all from animals raised on pasture or, in the case of pigs, in the woods and fed organically. The lamb and beef are strictly grass-fed. A deposit is required for each share to cover the out of pocket expense of raising the particular animal. The balance is paid when you receive your meat. Please inquire about the per pound price of the meats that interest you. The pork, beef and lamb are cut up by the butcher according to your instructions. Chickens are ready several times throughout the summer/fall. Pork is ready mid to late summer, while beef and lamb are available in the late fall. How You Can Get It: Pay $325 in full or installments if need be, preferably by mid-April. You package your share from our 'market style' set up exchanging undesired items on a swap table. Pick up runs Tuesdays 3 to 6 at our farm, 408 Willow Ln, Wiscasset. Contact Us: Jeff and Amy Burchstead, (207) 882-8082,
