WE’RE SEEKING: Artwork inspired by the Portland Farmers’ Market, to be printed on tote bags, stickers, & more, as part of our fundraising for the market’s Food Access Program.

 

DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS:​

​

  • Entrant must be a resident of Maine

  • Artwork must be original and created by the entrant

  • Maximum of two entries per artist

  • Submission must be received by March 25, 2024, 11:59pm.

  • Final, digital format must be ai vector PDF, .ai or .eps version of the artwork (preferred), though an original pdf file will also be accepted.

  • The artwork should be printable in single color, though a colored version is also welcome

  • If the text "Portland Farmers' Market Portland, Maine" is not included in the submitted design, it will be added to the printed version.

  • The artist must grant the Portland Farmers' Market Association (PFMA) permission to reproduce the artwork for commercial use.

  • The top 10 submissions, along with artist credit, will be featured on the market's website.

PRIZE: $400 cash, $200 in Bumper Crop (Farmers' Market) Gift Certificates, & 2 tote bags printed with the winning design.

ONE WINNER will be chosen by a majority vote of the PFMA farmers. UPDATE: Winner to be announced  by April 2nd!

*If you are unable to use the submission link, please email us the following information, along with your submission, and subject line "Call for Art":  (Your name, pronouns, email, whether you are a Maine resident, any details about your art submission and about yourself that you'd like to share, your website or social media if applicable, your favorite vegetable, your favorite thing (or story) about the Portland Farmers' Market and whether you grant permission to PFMA to reproduce the artwork, if you win, for commercial use (including reproduction of your art for the purpose of fundraising for the market's Food Access Program)?
