Low-Income Food Access Program

Our Market Information Booth serves as the hub of our Low Income Food Access Program:

An effort to increase food access and provide services and support to individuals and families in our community who are facing food insecurity, while also supporting our farmers. The Info Booth also provides the convenience of using a visa/mastercard/discover/amex to shop the entire market using our Wooden Tokens.

PFMA is a state recognized non-profit, and our operating costs are covered by our ongoing fundraising: Friends of the Market memberships, sales of Market Goods, Donations, Fundraising Events, and farmer support. When you support our fundraising, you are supporting the entire market community, and we thank you!

SNAP/EBT Access & Wooden Tokens

Use your SNAP/EBT, Credit, or Debit card to get wooden tokens that can be used to shop at any farm vendors booths.

Thanks to Maine Harvest Bucks, we also offer a nutrition incentive to SNAP customers. For every dollar spent with SNAP at our market, we match your purchase with bonus tokens to spend on fruits and vegetables at Market. We do not currently have a matching limit, so you can Spend $20, $60, $100 in SNAP and get an additional $20, $60, $100 in Maine Harvest Bucks tokens!

Credit/Debit customers: one of the we fundraise, is to ask each time you swipe your card, to make a small, $1.50 donation. We thank for supporting our fundraising!
