Maine Senior Farmshare Program...Farmers' Market Version!
We are thrilled to offer the farmers' market version of the Maine Senior Farmshare Program (MSFP), which provides $50 in free vouchers to income-eligible seniors! Vouchers can be spent on fresh fruit, vegetables (including mushrooms), cut herbs and honey. See the full list of eligible items here.

Enrollment for 2026 will not include a paper application. Your information will be directly entered into the program's system on site. If you qualify, you will receive your $50 in vouchers the same day you enroll.

Here's how MSFP works:

Income-eligible people ages 60* and older can sign up to receive $50 in (free) vouchers to spend on fruits, vegetables, and honey- from any of our farm vendors!
To be eligible, you must:

Be a Maine resident

Be 60 years old or older
-
55 years old or older for Native Americans
-
age 18 or older with a disability and living in congregate housing with meal service

Meet the 2026-2027 Income Guidelines. The annual household gross income is at or below the amount listed beside household size:

1 person household: $29,526
-
2 person household: $40,034
-
3 person household: $50,542
-
4 person household: $61,050
-
5 person household: $71,558

6 person household: $82,066

You may only sign up once per season. If you are already signed up for Senior FarmShare with a farm for 2026, you cannot enroll with a farmers’ market this year.

Please note the expiration for the 2026 MSFP vouchers is 11/25/26. If you are enrolled with out market, you must spend your share before that date.

Do you need transportation to the market for your Senior Farmshare?
The City of Portland's 62+ Club offers door-to-door transportation service, at no cost, for MSFP eligible seniors who are also members of the 62+ Club.
